Patient Transfer Chairs: 3 Models for Safer Home Care

Why a patient transfer chair matters

Transferring a patient with limited mobility from bed to shower or toilet can be difficult and risky, both for the patient and the caregiver. Hydraulic transfer chairs make this process safer, reducing the risk of falls and easing the physical effort involved. Below are three models with different capacities and features, depending on the patient's needs.

Patient Transfer and Lifting Chair 100 kg

This chair uses a foot-pedal hydraulic system, letting the caregiver raise and lower it with minimal effort. It has an adjustable chest/shoulder support strap for extra safety, brake-equipped handles, and locking casters for stable manoeuvring at home or in healthcare facilities. Suitable for patients up to 100 kg.

Multifunctional Patient Transfer Chair

A mobile, multifunctional model, also suitable for use in the shower, offering comfort and safety for patients who need assistance with personal hygiene. Its sturdy frame and locking wheels make it suitable for both home and healthcare settings.

Patient Transfer Chair up to 150 kg

With hydraulic height adjustment and a central opening seat, this chair makes it easier to transfer a patient between bed, shower, and toilet without lifting them. The folding armrests and footrests allow easier access, while the locking wheels ensure safety during movement. A 150 kg capacity makes it suitable for heavier patients as well.

How to choose the right model

If you need an economical solution for simple transfers, the 100 kg model is enough. For use in the shower as well, the multifunctional model is more practical. For heavier patients or direct transfer to the toilet, the 150 kg chair with a central opening is the safest choice.
